News

Due to not enough students signing up this course is moved to summer semester 2012.
Dynamic Heart Modeling Hauptseminar SS2012

Overview

Human heart modeling is one of the major research focuses for the reasons of diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases. It is a complex multidisciplinary subject, that covers computer vision, computational fluid dynamics, computational mechanics, e.t.c.. In this seminar you will learn about some of the advanced methods for human heart modelling, as well reviewing scientific works and presenting them. Basic knowledge of computer vision or computational mechanics depending on the topic, would serve as an advantage for participating students .

Registration

To participate in this seminar please send an Email to Artashes Mkhitaryan (artashm@mytum.de). The email should contein the following information :

The deadline for the registration is October 20, 2011.

Note, that the list of papers is not fixed, and if you prefer to present some other paper withing the scope of the dynamic heart modeling, please send an email to Artashes Mkhitaryan (artashm@mytum.de).

Participation

Each participating student is required to give a presentation on one of the above mentioned papers, The presentations should be 20-30 mins followed by 10 mins for questions and discussion. One week before the presentation date the draft of the presentation should be sent to Artashes Mkhitaryan (artashm@mytum.de), if desired participating students can make a preliminary presentation, to get a better feeling for the final one. Presentations will be held in English. Additionally, the presenters need to write a summary of their talk. The resulting document should be 5-10 pages long and needs to be sent as a PDF document to the supervisor. Participating students are required to be present at all the presentations.
